With a new era of Colorado Buffaloes football about to begin, quarterback Shedeur Sanders is gaining a ton of hype and was even warranting Heisman buzz earlier in the offseason.

As the son of new coach Deion Sanders, he is obviously attached to him, although the talent he brings is more than enough to catch some eyeballs. His spring game performance was impressive, and now he is simply focused on what’s ahead for the season.

Sanders will soon become the fourth full-time starting QB to play for his father’s team in Power Five history, per Brian Howell of BuffZone. Plus, as Howell stated, not many programs have gone from 1-11 to a bowl game, so there is history up for grabs for Sanders.

Sanders, however, is taking a more grounded approach to his first season in Boulder.

“I just focus on it as the next thing to do,” Sanders to BuffZone recently. “I let everybody do research and stuff like that. I just focus on that’s the next task at hand and that’s just what we’ve got to do.”
